Privacy Policy

A legal disclaimer

Policies and procedures are listed. You will need to understand and agree to all of my policies and procedures for your pet(s) to be under my care. Many of my policies and procedures are mirrored from that of other pet care providers and commercial businesses in the area. This section is meant to clearly outline many areas of legal concerns for not just myself as the pet care providers but also you as the client. In the following section, I hope to clarify any possible questions or concerns about what my individual policies and procedures are along with outlining the responsibilities of both parties during any bookings.

Cameras inside and outside of the home must be disclosed prior to the start of service.

No audio or video recordings may be published or made public in any way.

 

Cameras are not allowed in the bathrooms. Additionally, if I will be house sitting, cameras are not permitted in the bedroom either.

For House Sitting

As it is important to be well rested while caring for your pets, and because I am prone to occasional back soreness, I will need to be able to sleep on a traditional bed or a good-quality air mattress. If you have more than one bedroom please contact me to let me know which one you prefer that I use while caring for your pet(s) in your home.

I understand and agree

Please leave your thermostat settings within a normal comfortable range (68-75°F). If the house temperature is outside of this range I will adjust the thermostat. This is to ensure the health and comfort of your pets and myself during the time of service. *

 

If a problem arises such as a key/access code not working, pipe breaking, fire, break-in, damage to the home by the pet(s) then you, the owner, will be notified as soon as possible. If the owner is unreachable, the owner grants me, Stella - the pet care provider, the ability to do her best at fixing the problem. The owner agrees to reimburse Stella if any charges should be incurred. *

 

While I strive to achieve a safe environment for all animals, I cannot prevent all accidents, injuries, illnesses, or changes in behavior. When you leave your pet(s) in my care, you accept these risks and you release me from all liability arising from the occurrence of such events. In addition, I am not responsible for any veterinary bills if your pet(s) becomes sick or injured while in my care. *

 

You must disclose on a continuing basis, any and all medical, or other conditions, your pet(s) has including, but not limited to, personality concerns, or behavioral incidents. *You are allowed to book any service as far out in advance as you like. The sooner you book, the better. A service is only considered booked once it has been paid in full. *

 

The following days (and surrounding days) will be subject to my Holiday Rates:

The Extended Care Rate: This feature has been added so that sitters are paid adequately for their time. If a house sitting is scheduled to end 2-8 hours later than the start time on the first day, the client will be charged an additional 50% of the sitter's nightly rate. If a house sitting is scheduled to end 8+ hours later than the start time on the first day, the client will be charged the full price of an extra night.

 

With my clients: Even if the last day of the house sitting is scheduled to end 8+ hours past the start-time on the first day I am electing to charge only 50% of my nightly rate for Extended Care. This will be shown as a Cost Adjustment to the house sitting.

My current House Sitting cancelation policy is set to "Seven Day". Clients will receive a full refund if the booking is canceled by 12pm-noon one week before the stay begins. After that, they get a 50% refund on the first 7 cancelled days and 100% refund on any days after that.

For Drop-In Visits and Walks my current cancelation policy is set to "Three Day". Clients will receive a full refund if the booking is canceled by 12pm-noon three days before the stay begins. After that, they get a 50% refund on the first 7 cancelled days and 100% refund on any days after that.

 

House Sitting Example: If a four week sitting is cancelled after 12pm-noon one week before the sitting begins, the owner will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days, and will receive a full refund for the remaining three weeks.

 

I reserve the right to photograph and publish said photographs of your pet(s). Many photographs and videos taken are posted to my pet sitting social media profiles. Any photograph sent to you of your own pet(s) can be used in any manner that you deem necessary. *

I will let you, the client, know when I have left and ended service. In order to ensure the safety of your pet(s) I ask that you please let me know when you return home.
